Our History
Savannah Ving Tsun Martial Arts Academy, affectionately known as 'SVT', is Savannah's only authentic, accredited Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu school, associated with Grandmaster Benny Meng, affiliated with the Ving Tsun Museum of Dayton, Ohio, and owned and operated by Master Michael Sampson.
Having officially opened its doors back in 2005, SVT has changed locations several times as it has grown, from a small location on White Bluff to it's current location on Ogeechee Road. During that time SVT has taken on many students of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds, all of whom have transformed into a family community within the school itself.
Our Instructors
All of SVT's instructors share a passion for passing on this traditional Chinese martial art. Our instructors are all trained and experienced in Shaolin Wing Chun, with 10+ years of martial arts practice under their belts. As head instructor, Sifu Sampson has more than 40 years experience in the art of Wing Chun.
What We Offer
We offer a variety of classes for students of all ages and experience levels, including basic and women's self-defense, anti-abduction, anti-bullying, Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu, and Competition training. Our classes are designed to be fun, challenging, and rewarding while meeting your needs and propelling you on your personal journey.
